This is an adorable Handprint Valentine’s Day Card craft idea you can do with your kiddos! It’s super easy and absolutely fun!
I did this Valentine’s Day card with my daughter (4), but I’m sure, with assistance, you can do this craft with even younger kids too! My daughter loved creating this craft so much and she felt so proud of her beautiful card when she was finished. Best and hardest part, of course, was fitting all the things she loved onto the hearts inside (hey, this girl loves a lot of things- ha ha!).

–Cardstock (white, pink)
First, trace your childs’ hands onto the white cardstock and cut out. On the outer side of the left handprint, write “I love…”. Next cut out several hearts from the pink cardstock so they’re all connected and glue onto the inside of the handprints using the gluestick. Now you have a super unique Valentine’s Day card ready to be decorated. Your kids can get as creative as they’d like decorating (maybe even embellishing!) the cover of the card. On the inside, ask your kids what they love and jot down onto the hearts!
What is my child learning?
-Scissor skills (using the scissors strengthens fingers and improves their movement)
-Creativity (kids can choose colors and think of all the special things they’re thankful for!)
-Hand-eye coordination (gluing, writing, etc.)
-Fine motor skills (using the scissors, crayons, gluestick)
-Effort, focus and concentration
