Your preschoolers will love this Cursive Name Dot Painting!
There’s no better way to incorporate something educational with something fun, wouldn’t you agree? Toddlers and preschoolers learn so much better if they’re having a great time at the same time! Luckily, it’s not so hard to create something engaging and attractive to toddlers, because, well…they’re toddlers and everything is soo interesting to them!
This Cursive Name Dot Painting activity is perfect for preschoolers! If you’re learning letters, writing and cursive with your kids then this activity is for you. Super easy to prepare too! It took me less than 5 minutes to set it up (actually maybe closer to 2 minutes!) and I had all of the materials needed right at home. SCORE!

On the craft paper roll, write out your childs’ name in cursive (you can tape the paper to the wall to incorporate gross motor skills that way or simply lay the paper on a table).
What is my child learning?
-Gross motor (if you tape the craft paper roll onto the wall)
-Fine motor (holding the dot paint)
-Cursive (recognizing cursive letters and writing them out)
-Creativity (choosing colors of the dot stickers, etc.)
She absolutely LOVED this activity! Switching between colors, following the lines and of course learning her letters. This idea was brilliant and therefore I’ll have to come up with similar activities such as this one for her!
Her bright smile says it all! 🙂
